Beach volleyball is the best cross-training tool for indoor players. Unlike indoors, there are only two players on a team. This maximizes the contacts for each person since both players will have to pass, set, hit, block, and play defense in every single rally.
Each Beach Club season lasts around 3 months and practice 1x a week on Sunday mornings at West Valley College. This program requires a tryout to be accepted into the Beach Club.
Spring Beach Club: Practices on Sunday mornings between February and April
Fall Beach Club: Practices on Sunday mornings between August and December (when there are no indoor tournaments)
During the tryout process, players are assigned a "Training Group" for the season. Training Groups are designed to group players of similar age and skill levels together for training and competition purposes.
This allows players to train with and against numerous athletes within their age range without the need for a designated team.

Grass volleyball is a fantastic cross-training tool for indoor players. Unlike indoors, grass volleyball is played 2-on-2 or 3-on-3 which maximizes the amount of contacts each athlete gets during a training session and helps work on the weaknesses in your game.
Each Grass Club season lasts around 2 months and practice 1x a week on Thursday afternoons at Willow Glen High School. This program requires a tryout to be accepted into the Grass Club.
Fall Grass Club: Practices on Wednesday or Thursday evenings between August and early October
