This upcoming week marks the start of our Summer Strength & Conditioning program at Virtus Performance in Los Gatos! To celebrate, all of our athletes get access to a free session with coach, Jamie, Anthony, and Ray! All three coaches work at Stanford University with the men's and women's volleyball programs. The workouts our athletes will do are the same ones the Division 1 teams are doing to perform at the highest level.

Program Goals

The goal of our Strength & Conditioning program is threefold:

  1. Injury prevention: by strengthening the commonly used muscles and improving the quality of our athlete's movements we help our athletes stay on the court playing the game they love.
  2. Increase vertical: by training our athletes how to jump we can add inches onto their vertical quickly. From there we can utilize weighted movements to recruit more fast-twitch muscle fibers.
  3. Overall strength: our program is designed to create balance in each athlete. That means increasing strength in the upper body, lower body, and core. This translates into more power in your swing and agility on the court.

Program Details

Athletes are able to pick and choose their 2 sessions from the Virtus Performance calendar (multiple time slots each day of the week).

Date: Runs from May 19th - June 26th

Cost: $250 for the Summer Program

Venue: All sessions are held at the Virtus Performance facility in Los Gatos
